23, 2006 Allergan closes acquisition of Inamed Associated Press IRVINE, Calif.

- Botox-maker Allergan Inc.

said Thursday it completed its $3.2 billion acquisition of specialty pharmaceutical device manufacturer Inamed Corp.

Allergan offered $84 per share in cash, or 0.8498 of a share of Allergan common stock, for Santa Barbara-based Inamed.

Inamed makes a range of "dermal filler" products used to smooth wrinkles that Allergan sees as a complement to its market-leading Botox antiwrinkle treatment.
