The last two are tantalizing quick-fix facial treatments made popular by those who seek a smooth, wrinkle-free complexion through "lunch-hour lifts." Such minimally invasive procedures, ranging from light chemical peels to laser treatments to Botox injections, have steadily gained male and female fans across the country.

Nearly 7.5 million of these procedures were performed in the United States in 2004, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Botox, injected into the facial muscles to smooth wrinkles, has increased in use by 280 percent since 2000.

Baby boomers like Glenda Wood, 57, contribute to these rising statistics.

She gets Botox injections about every three months from facial plastic surgeon Mark Beaty at Milton Hall Plastic Surgery Center in Alpharetta, Ga.
